3 Modern Amish Quilt Designs and Appreciating Life

Facts about the Amish

In the past, Amish quilters used only scraps of material left over from other sewing projects or worn out clothing to create their quilts. A Giveaway and Kim Vogel Sawyer on Hope

Kim Vogel Sawyer

Most people know my author tagline is “Gentle stories of hope.” I didn’t come up with that myself–a friend of mine who read each of my unpublished manuscripts (bless her heart!) made the comment, “All of your stories are so gently told, and they all include a strong element of hope.” My heart sang at her comment, because injecting elements of hope was, and continues to be, my goal.

Facts about the Amish

Often, mothers will save scraps from when they made clothes for their children through the years until the child/children are married or are expecting a child of their own.
