Every contest has to have rules, right? Unless otherwise stated, these rules apply to
ALL of my giveaways.
So here we go . . .
Eligibility
You must be 18 years old or older.
You must be a legal resident of the US and have a US postal address where the item can be sent. NEW RULE starting December 1, 2017–P.O. Box addresses are not accepted. It’s problematic shipping to P.O.Boxes, and the last issue I had trying to send to a P.O. Box with tracking added cost me a full day of work time, over a hundred dollars, and the “lost item” is still unresolved.
I’m really sorry to exclude anyone, including P.O. Box addresses and my international readers (I so appreciate all of you!), but international laws are difficult and added to that shipping is too pricey. I hope you understand.

How to Enter
Occasionally, I’ll have a special giveaway with a little different way to enter, but usually the entry method is as follows:
For my blog giveaways, please leave a comment on the blog post on my website. If that giveaway is over, I’ll have the winner announced in red font.
If you subscribe to my blog via email, you can click the link in your email to hop over to my website. There are usually two links to the post. The first is the title of the blog post. Click on it, and it will jump you directly to the post. The second is a link I provide in the body of the giveaway announcement. Click on the underlined text to jump over to my blog. You will not be able to comment or enter the giveaway until you are on my website.
Because of compatibility issues I don’t have answers for, you usually won’t be able to enter if you’re on a mobile device. But I keep the giveaways open for a week, and most people are on a computer at some point during that time, so I hope you’ll drop by and leave a comment.
For my Facebook Reader Friend of the Month giveaway, simply leave a comment on the Facebook post announcing the giveaway, OR click the link provided on the announcement and leave a comment there.
Please comment either on Facebook or my webpage, not both.
How Not to Enter
Please do not ask to be entered by hitting “reply” when you receive my post to your inbox. Email entries are not accepted into my giveaways.
What if I encounter a problem?
Please do not hesitate to contact my assistant at assistant@cindywoodsmall.com if you encounter any problems while trying to enter. Either my assistant or I will respond as quickly as possible to help you address any technical issues or questions you might have. We don’t want anyone to miss out on a giveaway!
How will I know if I won?
If you win, your name will be announced. If the giveaway was on my blog, it will be announced on the next blog post. If the giveaway was on Facebook, it will be announced on my Facebook page.
If you provided an email address, you will also be emailed and informed that you won.
To claim your goodies, simply email me or contact me via my website with your name and mailing address.
I keep thorough records of each winner of all of my giveaways. If you’re not sure whether or not you won a giveaway, I’ll have the answer for you!
You will have about four weeks to claim your goodies before you forfeit them. If you do not respond within that time, I will then be free to draw another winner or use the items in another giveaway.
When will I receive my books?
If you win one of my giveaways, you should receive your goodies within 4-6 weeks. If I hit an unexpected snag for any reason, I will contact you to let you know. If you haven’t received your items within six weeks, please contact me.
