* It’s here!!! The book cover for The Bridge of Peace!  While reading The Hope of Refuge, you caught a glimpse of a young woman named Lena. She has a birthmark on her face and loves giving her friends reasons to laugh. Deborah considers her beautiful. Lena struggles to accept her flaw. Her life will unfold into a story of its own in book two, The Bridge of Peace, which is due out September 7!

Available September 7!

Old Order Amish schoolteacher Lena Kauffman has laughed off the prominent mark on her cheek for most of her twenty-three years. Her free-spirited personality can’t stop people’s prejudices, but she bravely ignores their whispers and attempts to carve a bold, if controversial path for the education of her young Amish scholars. Grey Graber is a man bound inside a marriage void of affection and communication, but he is determined to find a solution. When tragedy unhinges all Grey’s good intentions, can two people who have been friends since childhood find God’s love and learn how to embrace one another’s imperfections?  This second novel in the Ada ‘s House series returns to Dry Lake, Pennsylvania and the beloved characters from The Hope of Refuge.

My Dad passed away in September, so I have not
been keeping up with your books, as I usually do.
I’m excited to know about the newest book (which,
as the other gals said, looks and sounds so very
special) but disappointed to see that it is not
yet available at Barnes and Noble. I met you when
you visited there and I will ask them to hurry up
and carry your latest book!!! You may have to
come back to make sure that they do!
