The title of the omnibus is the title of the series, Sisters of the Quilt, and it will be available this November at Walmart and other bookstores. I’m glad that my publisher has found a solution for my readers who wanted all three books in one.

In other great news, The Hope of Refuge is a Christy Award finalist. As a reader you may be unaware of this award, but it’s a prestigious honor to final. Publishers of inspirational fiction enter the best books they’ve published that year into the contest, and the competition is stiff. Added to that, both of my 2009 releases, The Hope of Refuge and The Sound of Sleigh Bells, are finalists for the Inspirational Reader’s Choice Contest sponsored by Faith, Hope, and Love (the Inspirational Outreach Chapter of the RWA—Romance Writers of America).
On another note of fun news, I have five new novels under contract. I’m very excited about writing those stories. I’m currently working on a nonfiction book. I’m writing it with an Old Order Amish friend. The title of the book is Plain Wisdom, An Invitation into an Amish Home and the Hearts of Two Women. Its release date is March 15, 2011! I’ll have excerpts and a book cover to share with you in the next newsletter.

I have had a love for Amish fiction for a long time. When your Sisters of the Quilt trilogy came out, I had not heard of you, but read the back and found that you were an author from Georgia. Since I live in Columbia, SC…I was ready to take a chance and read your books. I must say that you are an excellent writer! I have really loved The Hope of Refuge! Most often, the Amish books I read talk about those leaving the Amish faith…how beautiful you have portrayed Cara’s search for all she found coming into the Amish faith. I can’t wait for book 2!

Love the Amish stories and have spent many years traveling in Southern Ohio and stopping in the stores and especially the bakery. We stayed at an Amish Bread and Breakfast in Penn. I used much of the experience in my writings. I would love to win a book of yours.

Your books take me back to my childhood. While I didn’t grow up Amish my family lived in the country and we attended a one-room school. The gardens, canning foods, and so much bring me back to that lifestyle. We didn’t have material things but grew up in a loving family and I wouldn’t ever change that! I just love your books. A friend got me hooked on Amish fiction with another writer, and then I found yours and got her hooked too! I cant wait for new books to come out.
